At Waterstone Clinic, we pride ourselves in our transparency when it comes to pricing. Our Medical Director, Dr John Waterstone, is a regular advocate for this and often advises patients to check what is included in the prices of fertility treatments across clinics. We will detail ours below.

At Waterstone Clinic, all treatments include:

  • Telephone consultations with our fertility nurses and consultants;
  • Counselling session(s) with our in-house counsellor free of charge;
  • Consultations with our consultants and fertility nurses after your treatment;

Oncology patients can avail of sperm freezing free of charge.

IVF stands for in vitro fertilization. It’s one of the more widely known types of assisted reproductive technology. IVF works by using a combination of procedures to help sperm fertilize an egg, and help the fertilized egg implant in your uterus.

IVF Treatment Package – €4,750
Our IVF treatment package includes: consultations, a transvaginal ultrasound scan, IV sedation, an egg collection procedure, assisted hatching, blastocyst culturing, an embryo transfer procedure, pregnancy test kit, early pregnancy scan, and follow-up consultations. We also recommend our patients to avail of a free counselling session with our counsellor.

OII stands for Ovulation Induction. This is the simplest form of fertility treatment and is recommended for women who are not ovulating to stimulate the growth of one or two follicles in the ovaries which will release an egg and offer the opportunity to conceive naturally. This induction can be carried out with Clomid tablets or with FSH hormone injections.

OII Follicle Aspiration – €200

Follicle Aspiration is a procedure to collect eggs from the follicles. This procedure is carried out under light sedation in our theatre by our consultants.

Each OII treatment package includes scans, medications and follow up consultations.

IUI stands for Intrauterine Insemination. IUI treatment is often recommended as a first line treatment when a couple’s fertility test results are normal and their difficulties are unexplained. IUI combines ovulation induction with the introduction of purified semen into the uterus on the day of ovulation.

Cancelled IUI Procedure – €100 per scan (max charge €400)

Follicle Aspiration is a procedure to collect eggs from the follicles. This procedure is carried out under light sedation in our theatre by our consultants.

Each IUI treatment package includes scans, medications and follow up consultations.

Initial consultation – €250
The initial consultation with our consultants includes a review of prior investigations, discussion of treatment plan and a transvaginal ultrasound scan which is not charged for separately.

Post Treatment Consultations are included in your treatment package costing.

If all embryos are used within 12 months of storage renewal, we will credit €400 to your treatments.

Sperm Freezing – €1,250
Freezing of sperm for 3 years. If all sperm is used within 12 months of storage renewal, we will credit €400 to your treatments.

Sperm Storage 3 Year Continuation Fee – €900
If all embryos are used within 12 months of storage renewal, we will credit €400 to your treatments.

Costs for egg freezing and the use of the frozen eggs are divided into two phases. Phase 1 covers the retrieval and freezing of your eggs; Phase 2 covers the fertilisation and transfer of embryo(s) made with the eggs you froze. One year’s storage is included in the fee.

Waterstone Clinic offers both Egg and Sperm Donation Services.

Waterstone Clinic has egg donation programmes that are both in-house and in collaboration with international clinics. Patients undertaking egg donation must also avail of counselling, and this is included in the treatment price.

Egg donation that takes place with a known donor (such as a sister, cousin or friend) and the procedures take place in-house at Waterstone Clinic – €8,000

Egg donation via anonymous donors take place through our European or American clinic partners are supported and co-ordinated by Waterstone Clinic – €1,200

Sperm Donation

Waterstone Clinic sources donor sperm from European and Nordic Sperm Banks. We support patients through their donor selection process to tailor the selection to meet the patient’s needs.

Donor Sperm
The price from the European clinics for donor sperm depends upon the quality and whether the patient wishes to have a basic or extended profile of the donor. Sperm is bought in “straws” and most patients will purchase 3 or 4 straws.
Basic profile donor sperm costs average €300 per straw
Extended profile donor sperm costs average €800 per straw

Sperm Donation Treatment Package – €850
Once the sperm type and amount is selected (see above for pricing), the support package includes the couriering, storage (up to 1 year), nurse and laboratory support and mandatory counselling.
