Dr Peter Wiegandt MD CCST MRCPI

Dr Wiegandt is a highly regarded fertility specialist, and he joined the Waterstone Clinic team in 2009. Dr Weigandt’s interests and expertise centre on male fertility, pre-implantation testing (PGT) and egg and embryo donation. He also has a special interest in medical ethics and in particular, ethical implications in the management of the infertile couple.
Dr Wiegandt is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists and a member of the Irish Fertility Society, the British Fertility Society and the European Society of Human Reproduction & Embryology (ESHRE).
After graduating from Semmelweis Medical University in Budapest, Hungary in 1985, Dr Wiegandt commenced residency and then specialist training at the Department of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in Jahn General Hospital, Budapest.
Dr Wiegandt specialised in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1989 and Paediatric Gynaecology in 1993. Prior to joining Waterstone Clinic, he worked at the largest IVF unit in Budapest, the Buda Fertility Centre, located in St. Janos General Hospital, Budapest.
