Consultant in Reproductive Medicine

Dr. Minna Geisler MB BCh BAO MRCPI MRCOG was born in Dublin and is an honours medical graduate of University College Dublin (2005), a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (2009) and a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (2012). She began her career in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street, Dublin. She began working at Cork University Maternity Hospital in 2011.

Dr. Geisler joined the team at Waterstone Clinic as a Research Fellow in January 2013 due to her keen interest in Reproductive Medicine and completed a two year research study into the prediction of the risk of preterm labour in pregnancies conceived with IVF/ICSI. Dr Geisler’s research has resulted in peer-reviewed original papers, published conference proceedings and has been presented nationally. She has won a number of prizes for her research presentations including first prize for best overall presentation Irish Fertility Society and best overall presentation IGOGPM at the 3rd Irish Congress of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Perinatal Medicine 2015.

Dr. Geisler is passionate about fertility and the importance of fertility awareness. In 2014 Dr. Geisler was instrumental in establishing My Fertility Check at the Waterstone Clinic.

Dr. Geisler took up a consultant post at Cork Fertility in 2017 coinciding with a post as Consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologist Cork University Maternity Hospital. Dr Geisler is a member of the Irish Fertility Society and the European Society of Human Reproduction & Embryology (ESHRE).
